AFLY, Lyon-based sharpener

Since 1971, AFLY has been designing, manufacturing and maintaining cutting tools dedicated to mechanical production. Our years of expertise have enabled us to open up our know-how to many sectors of activity. AFLY works for players in leading-edge fields such as aeronautics, armaments, general mechanics, automotive, medical, food and agricultural equipment.

A trustful commitment

Close to our customers, we are committed to maintaining the relationship of trust that we have established with each one of them.  This is reflected in the respect of deadlines and the conformity of the products delivered, but also in the regular follow-up provided by our teams. The links we have created with our various suppliers and our employees guarantee our customers a service that meets their requirements with high-quality materials; rigorously selected and made with passion.

A modern company that listens to its employees

In 2021, AFLY won first prize in the “Workplace Well-Being Awards” in the “zero-euro idea” category. Led by the safety, quality and environment manager, the project involved 28 employees who had the mission of suggesting ways to improve the quality of life at work. Some of these ideas caught AFLY’s attention such as the installation of air conditioning or the possibility for teams to define their work procedures. Those were included in an action plan by the quality department.

AFLY certified ISO 9001

« ISO 9001 définit les critères applicables à un système de management de la qualité. […] Cette norme repose sur un certain nombre de principes de management de la qualité, notamment une forte orientation client, la motivation et l’engagement de la direction, l’approche processus et l’amélioration continue. »

Un engagement environnemental

Because sharpening is also intended to prolong the lifespan of tools, AFLY participates at its level in preserving rare resources such as carbide and thus minimizes its environmental impact. The use of reused carbide, when conditions permit, also contributes to the circular economy by exploiting recycled materials. Also, our own range of standard tools that are 100% French guarantees our customers quality equipment that respects both the planet and our expert requirements.
